Hosted by the Office of Indigenous Relations, now integrated with Indigenous Student Services, this one-day non-competitive celebration of Indigenous heritage features vendors, dancers, and singers from the Waterloo region and beyond. Join us as we celebrate Indigenous culture and tradition through song, dance, arts, and cuisine. Gidinawendamin/Ska’nikú•lát Pow Wow is intended to be a safe, welcoming, and vibrant opportunity for Indigenous and non-Indigenous folks from the UWaterloo community and beyond to gather in celebration.

We will gather at our Spirit Garden (Eminidowang Kiitigan) to honour the impacts of the residential school system on First Nations, Inuit, and Métis. Together, through harvest and community, we will stand in support of Indigenous peoples, and continue the shared journey toward healing and reconciliation.
Truth and Reconciliation Remember Me Walk

Please join H7G for a community walk, A Walk to Remember and Honour All of our Children, as we spread awareness while reflecting on the tragedies from residential schools, experience by Indigenous peoples across Turtle Island. All are welcome to join in one our walk!
Walk to begin at 300 Frederick Street, Kitchener at 10 a.m. with reveal of the new bus design and new police car wrap. Route to end at Victoria Park, Clock Tower for Drumming and Speakers.
Following the walk, First Nations, Métis and Inuit are invited to join at Crow Shield Lodge for a Sacred Fire, Drumming and Elders at 101 David Street, Kitchener.
